~Her Story~

With the passion of Joni Mitchell and the pop sensibility of Bonnie Raitt, Anne-Margaret Redding's soulful voice and soothing smile give her a hypnotic presence that is sure to dazzle.   Anne-Margaret 's songs unite a youthful spirit with a level of musical prowess far beyond her years.   She has a way of stealing the emotion of her listeners by combining heart-felt lyrics with the graceful and sometimes edgy melodic texture of her compositions.  

Her musical journey began at age four by studying classical piano for sixteen years.   At age seventeen, AMR left her hometown of Littleton at the base of the Colorado mountains to study voice, dance, and theatre on a professional level.   This lead to touring the US and Europe as the leading role in a classical theatre ensemble.   It was the perfect platform to launch her stage-like charisma and provided unlimited opportunity for developing her vocal abilities.

In May of 2003, in addition to performing with her band at several NYC clubs, she created and hosted the first annual "Musicians Making a Difference" at CB's Gallery, NYC.   Under the umbrella of her non-profit "Overcoming Obstacles" founded in 2001, the evening acknowledged and celebrated NYC musicians actively giving back to their communities.   That August, AMR independently released her debut album "CONTAGIOUS" and then immediately embarked on an independent      30-city US promotional tour .   While on tour, she began speaking to high schools and colleges spreading her motivational message "LIVE YOUR PASSION."   The inspirational speaking coupled with her performing was received with such enthusiasm that AMR formally began the "LIVE YOUR PASSION TOUR." In addition to her local performing, AMR tours colleges and high schools all over the US playing concerts that are accompanied by an inspirational workshop coaching students on how to live their passion.   Through her music and her speaking, Anne-Margaret challenges and inspires her audience to have the courage, determination, and passion to create and live a life they love.   AMR 's intention is to write & perform her music to inspire and passionately evoke powerful emotions while maintaining a role model's character for young and older adults alike.
